The Aletsch Glacier is the largest in the Alps with a length of about 23 km. Switzerland announced on the 4th do December that winter sports can take place under strict conditions despite the Coronavirus Pandemic: a quota on the number of skiers allowed on the slopes is set for each location; masks are mandatory not only in closed spaces such as mountain trains and cable cars but also on open-air chair lifts and T-bars, as well as in queues. Bars and Restaurants can only serve takeaway meals.
