ITALY, Nembro (Province of Bergamo) 30/06/202 - in the image, daily scenes at a barber shop with safety requirements. Nembro suffered one of the highest ratio between the number of inhabitants and deaths than can be linked to Covid19 in Italy (188 casualties in a town of 10'000). Figures are not confirmed as swab tests were not carried out consistently. Court investigations are undergoing to establish reasons-why and responsibilities, especially concerning the avoidance of strict and early lock-down measures and the institution of a red-zone as happened to other towns around Lombardy and Veneto. Rumours seem to suggest that big manufacturing companies in the area pushed to avoid an early red-zone to keep the economy going. Very significant is the case of the ER of the Hospital of Alzano, that serves also the community of Nembro, as it was closed on the 23rd of February - when the situation was collapsing - and opened again just a few hours later.
