Bergamo was hardly hit by the Covid19 Pandemic, registering one the highest death toll of Italy. The irony is that its soccer team 'Atalanta' is living an extraordinary season even though it is a province town competing with bigger international teams at the Champions League. Atalanta represents and is a symbol of the operosity of people from the Bergamo area and their incredible resilience to live through hard times.
