05 Aug 2015 - Bashika frontline few kilometers from Mosoul and 800 meters from ISIL/Daesh. A kurds fighter, Peshmerga, stands in his combat position with heavy weapon. Fights, mostly mortar attacks and snipers' fire happen on a daily basis but at present there is no intention to advance to liberate Bashika village or Mosoul city. Peshamerga says they will support the Iraqi army (Bagdhdad Government) if they will decide to make an offensive against ISIL/Daesh to liberate Mosoul but it is not their priority as Mosoul is out of the Kurdistan borders. The Kurdish Regional Government has extended its territory control of over 40% since the start of the current conflict.
